For Adults and Families

For Men

The men meet every Friday morning in our lounge at 9 am for general conversations and fellowship. BYOC.

The men also offer up their talents to do hands-on projects around the church. If you are handy with projects and tools, the men would love to have you join in.

In addition, some of the men participate in a weekly golf outing on Monday afternoons. They set up the teams in April. If you are interested in joining our Building & Grounds team and/or join a golf foursome, please drop us a note.

For Women

We encourage our women to use their gifts and talents that most suits their passions. Our women participate in in many ways. Whether it is serving coffee after worship, sending "Get Well" or "Thinking of You" cards, decorating the church during holidays, sewing prayer shawls/blankets, visiting members, or making phone calls, they exemplify the "heart" of God.

A new event is our afternoon tea parties where we share tea and sandwiches while listening to presentations from local non-profit groups. Proceeds are given to the non-profit charity.

For Families

At First Presbyterian Church, we deeply cherish the moments when our community comes together to celebrate, learn, and enjoy in a family-friendly atmosphere. Winterfest: Kick off the winter season with a festive cookie decorating & hot chocolate bar with games and crafts.
Easter Extravaganza: Celebrate the renewal of Spring with an Easter egg hunt, temporary tattoo stations & games!
Fall Festival: Navigate through our not-too-spooky haunted house, enjoy pumpkin painting, games, and of course a Halloween costume contest.
December Family Sing-Along: Wrap up the year with the heartwarming melodies of our family sing-along, featuring your favorite Christmas music.

Other Ways to Get Involved

There are multiple ways to get involved depending on your interests. Please feel free to explore the possibilities. If you have ideas about other programs, just let us know. We are open to new ideas.

Handbell Choir

Whether or not you have experience in playing the bells, we welcome you to come and learn. The handbell Choir plays about once a month and during special events. they meet in the Music Room most Thursdays, during the school year, at 6:30 pm.

Chancel Choir

We are always looking for singers to join our choir. The choir sings in support of congregaitonal singing and anthems. During the summer, solosits assist in worship. Join the choir on Thursdays at 7 pm in the Music Room.

Praise Group & Muscians

We are pleased that we have a small praise group playing one Sunday a month. In addition, we have a variety of muscians. playing at various times in our worship services. If you play an instrument and would like to get involved, please let us know.

Bible/Book Study

We are a church of life-long learners. We offer Bible and Book Study throughout the year. If you have something you would like to know more about, just let us know and it will be arranged.

Our Lending Library

We have our own lending library on the second floor of our building. We accept and lend out books on a variety of topics. We also keep devotional materials on a display table in the lobby.

Our Prayer Team

We are a praying church. Each week we send out prayer requests received. Each person prays for the person mentioned and may even send out cards. Anyone can join this group.
